Just another card for my September Card Class. This one uses the Fun Stampers Journey "Creepy Kids" Stamp Set. This set comes with a matching die set, but I LOVE fussy cutting, so that's what I did with this card.
I can hardly believe that it's September already. And, again this year, I am behind in designing my Holiday Cards for my classes. Every year I vow to start Christmas in July and Halloween in August. But, this year, I was waiting on my NEW FSJ Halloween stamps to arrive. And, it was well worth the wait.
Here is the first of my August Class cards. We did Christmas In August with some great new stamp sets and Dies.
I stamped the Poinsettias in Cranberry Bliss Fusion Ink and the leaves in Fresh Forest Fusion ink and heat embossed all with clear detail embossing powder. I them fussy cut them all out and popped with phone tape.On this card, I used Journey Whip Cream Thread, but in my class cards, we used Journey Candy Apple Red Twine. I just thought the red made it pop more. Gold Silk was used to splatter gold on the card front. The centers of the Poinsettias were adorned with the Red berries from Berries and Holly accessories. I LOVE the trending Black and White used in the Christmas Cheer Prints Paper.
All Products used are from Fun Stampers Journey. If you see something you want, please visit my website or click on items below.
I haven't had time be creative lately, BUT, I was so inspired by some of the Beautiful stamps in the Fun Stampers Journey Spring into Summer Catalog, that I just had to play. The background was stamped with Clear Pigment Ink and then a Blue Pan Pastel wiped over it. The Fish is Water Colored with Silks on Water Color Paper. Then a Glaze over it with Sparkle cuts added to the scale portion.
Here is a close up of the glazed fish with Sparkle cuts on the scales.
I'm entering this card is the following Challenges.
I was playing around again with some Fred She Said digi images. This one isBlue Pansies in a Tea Cup. I also used the butterflies from "Butterflies Doodle Dallions" I used some of my retired CTMH cardstock, Sky and Star Spangled Blue. My friend Crystal got me hooked on We R Memory Keepers Next Level Embossing Folders. The one I used, I think, Is the Basket Weave.
Tis the season for Christmas Card making! My card today is using a fantastic pre-colored digi from Fred She Said called Christmas Rose. I used a set of Spellbinder dies to cut image and mat. The rose was fussy cut twice. Once with leaves and one just the rose. These were layered with foam tape to add some dimension. Red glitter was added to all the tiny red berried and then to the holly berries in the upper corners. Orange and yellow glitter was used on the candle flames. Clear Wink of Stella was used on the rose for a little extra shimmer. The sentiment and papers are from some of my retired stash from Close to my Heart. Sentiment was heat embossed for a raised affect. Challenges for this card: Glitter 'n' Sparkle - Use some Red Scrapbook Blessings - Use Red, Green and White Great Impressions - Bling on the Holidays The Glory of Christmas - Glitter and/or Shine Lacy Sunshine - Tic Tac Toe - I actually used all options but one Digi's Designs - Bow, Die Cuts, Flowers
